Optimist 48L Buoyancy Bag

This is agreat Buoyancy bag made with polyurethane coated nylon. They are stronger and lighter the PVC bags. The bag has a twist Lock Tube Valve. The valve is attached to a peice of tubing making inflation significantly easier. The 48L bags are slightly heavier then the 43L bags, but after a capsize there is a lot less water left in the boat.

Optimast Mast Clamp

Stainless steel lock to secure your mast from coming out of its step when the boat is capsized, causing costly foredeck damage. This lock has a rubber insert and should be clamped around the mast just under the deck.


We suggest you use the collar in addition to the rope locking system to create double security.
